Placements24 is seeking a vigilant Air Traffic Controller near Richards Bay to manage aircraft movements safely and efficiently within its airspace jurisdiction. You will maintain the flow of traffic, provide pilots with clearances, and uphold separation standards under high pressure.

The role demands exceptional situational awareness, decisive decision-making, and excellent communication skills, with strong teamwork and calmness under pressure to ensure national aviation safety.

Qualifications

• Valid Air Traffic Controller license and medical certificate.
• Proven experience in controlling air traffic at a comparable facility.
• Thorough understanding of aviation regulations, meteorology, and navigation.
• Ability to remain calm, focused, and decisive under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage air traffic within assigned airspace sectors using radar, communication, and navigation systems.
• Issue clearances, instructions, and advisories to pilots to ensure safe separation and efficient flow of air traffic.
• Coordinate with other air traffic control units, meteorological services, and emergency services as needed.
• Maintain constant vigilance and respond to potential conflicts or emergencies.
• Adhere to established air traffic control procedures, regulations, and safety standards.
