Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an AI Systems Engineer to design, implement, and maintain scalable AI infrastructure in Tembisa, Gauteng. You will collaborate with data scientists and software developers to deploy ML models and optimize performance across environments.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in systems engineering, strong cloud experience (AWS/Azure/GCP), and hands-on scripting with Python, Docker, and Kubernetes. This role emphasizes reliability, security, and ongoing innovation in AI platforms.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field.
• 3+ years in systems engineering, DevOps, or MLOps.
• Experience with AWS/Azure/GCP for AI/ML.
• Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI).
• Understanding of ML lifecycle and concepts.
• Knowledge of IaC tools like Terraform/Ansible is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and manage scalable AI infrastructure and services.
• Deploy ML models to production and ensure integration with systems.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for AI/ML workflows.
• Monitor AI system performance and optimize bottlenecks.
• Implement MLOps to streamline ML lifecycle.
