Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an AI Specialist to drive AI integration into cutting-edge robotic systems in Sandton, Gauteng. This on-site role focuses on enhancing autonomy, adaptability, and efficiency of robots.

You will collaborate with engineers and researchers to develop and deploy AI/ML, computer vision, and path-planning solutions for industrial automation. Requires advanced degree and 3+ years in AI for robotics; strong Python/C++, TensorFlow/PyTorch, ROS, OpenCV; on-site teamwork in Sandton.

Qualifications

Master's or Ph.D. in CS/Robotics/AI or related field.
3+ years applying AI/ML to robotics problems.
Strong Python and C++ programming skills.
Proficiency with TensorFlow, PyTorch and ROS.
Experience with OpenCV and computer vision.
Knowledge of path planning and motion control.
Ability to work on-site in Sandton, Gauteng.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement AI algorithms for robotic control, perception, and decision-making.
Integrate ML models (object recognition, path planning, anomaly detection) into robotic systems.
Work with computer vision libraries to interpret environments.
