Placements24 seeks an experienced AI Research Engineer to join our team in Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA. The role blends on-site collaboration with remote work, focusing on perception, navigation and control for robotic systems.

You will develop and implement intelligent algorithms, integrate deep learning models, and work with sensors and simulation tools in a cutting-edge research environment. Excellent problem-solving and teamwork are essential.

Formación

• Master's or PhD in CS/Robotics/AI or related field.
• Proven experience in AI research and development applied to robotics.
• Strong programming skills in Python and C++.
• Experience with ROS (Robot Operating System).
• Proficiency with TensorFlow, PyTorch and OpenCV.
• Familiarity with control theory and state estimation techniques.
• Experience with simulation tools Gazebo and Isaac Sim.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaborative teamwork.

Responsabilidades

• Design, implement, and test AI algorithms for robotic perception, decision-making, and control.
