Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an AI Research Engineer (Deep Learning) to design, implement, and evaluate novel deep learning models for computer vision, NLP, and analytics. You will work with a team of researchers using large datasets and HPC resources in East London, Eastern Cape.

The role requires 3+ years in deep learning with strong Python and experience in TensorFlow, PyTorch, and Keras. Hybrid work is offered with opportunities for publication and professional development.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Computer Science, AI, ML, or related field.
• 3+ years of deep learning research and implementation experience.
• Strong Python programming skills.
• Hands-on experience with deep learning frameworks (TensorFlow, PyTorch, Keras).
• Experience with data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation.
• Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is a plus.
