Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced AI Product Manager to craft the strategy, roadmap, and feature definition for a new generation of AI-powered products in Upington, Northern Cape. You will work with Engineering, Research, Marketing, and Sales to translate complex AI concepts into compelling product visions and user experiences.

The role requires 5+ years in product management with a strong AI/ML background and a proven record of delivering technology products.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field; MBA or Master’s degree is a plus.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, with a significant focus on AI/ML products or emerging technologies.
• Proven track record of launching successful technology products.
• Experience with agile development methodologies.
• Familiarity with data science and software development lifecycles; B2B SaaS experience advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI-powered products.
• Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities and customer needs.
• Translate requirements and market insights into detailed product specs and user stories.
• Prioritize product backlog and manage development sprints with engineering teams.
• Collaborate with AI researchers and engineers to assess feasibility and explore solutions.
• Develop go-to-market strategies with marketing and sales for product launches.
• Define and track key metrics, analyze performance, and identify improvements.
• Serve as liaison between technical teams and business stakeholders.
• Stay abreast of AI/ML advancements and emerging technologies.
• Ensure development aligns with company strategy and market demands.
