Placements24 is seeking a skilled AI Platform Engineer for a fully remote role within South Africa. You will design, build, and manage cloud-based infrastructure powering cutting-edge AI solutions, collaborating with data scientists and ML engineers to optimize performance and cost.

Key responsibilities include implementing scalable cloud infra across AWS/Azure/GCP, developing CI/CD for AI models, and automating provisioning with IaC tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is required.
• 3+ years in cloud engineering, DevOps, or SRE with AI/ML infra focus.
• Experience with major cloud providers (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Experience with infrastructure as code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible).
• Strong containerization knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions).
• Scripting skills (Python, Bash).
• Understanding of ML workflows is highly desirable.
• Excellent problem-solving and collaboration in a remote setting.

Requirements
