Job summary

Hyre in Cape Town seeks an innovative AI Developer to design, build, and deploy AI/ML solutions. You will drive model development and data pipelines, collaborating with engineering and product teams to bring AI features into production.

The role requires 3–5+ years in software engineering with a focus on AI/ML, hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, and MLOps on AWS/GCP/Azure, and a strong foundation in mathematics and statistics.

Qualifications

3–5+ years of professional software engineering with a focus on AI/ML.
Hands-on experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn and Keras.
Familiarity with deploying models on cloud platforms and MLOps best practices.
Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics and complex algorithms.
Self-motivated to move from concept to production and manage project architecture.

Responsibilities

Design, train, and implement machine learning models and AI algorithms.
Build and optimize data pipelines for data gathering, cleaning, and preprocessing.
Integrate custom models and third-party AI APIs into software applications.
Deploy AI models to production, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Monitor performance, fine-tune and retrain models to maintain accuracy and reduce bias.
