Job description

We are seeking two skilled AI/ML Engineers to join our client on a 6-month contract, with potential for extension. These roles support ongoing initiatives within the data and AI function, focusing on scalable machine learning delivery, feature engineering, and advanced data handling.

Position Details:

Ideal candidates will have extensive experience across the full ML engineering lifecycle, from data preparation to model deployment, and can collaborate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing, building, and scaling machine learning models and solutions
  • Developing robust data pipelines using Azure Databricks and other cloud-native tools
  • Translating business problems into ML solutions in collaboration with stakeholders
  • Using Python and SQL for data wrangling, analysis, and model development
  • Implementing CI/CD pipelines for model deployment and monitoring
  • Applying version control practices with Git and Azure Repos
  • Contributing to Agile team processes and project planning
  • Applying knowledge of RAG pipelines and autonomous agents in practical applications
  • Communicating insights effectively to non-technical audiences

Additional requirements:

  • Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks and Azure Cloud Platforms
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and ML model monitoring
  • Knowledge of version control and collaboration tools (e.g., Git, Azure Repos)
  • Understanding of feature engineering and big data wrangling at scale
  • Exposure to RAG pipelines and autonomous agents is advantageous
  • Strong business acumen and communication skills for engaging with non-technical teams
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and project management fundamentals

  • Contract Duration: 6 months, renewable
  • Location: Johannesburg
