Ai Machine Vision Software Engineer

Our client is looking for an engineer interested in Artificial Intelligence solutions for collision control.

Qualifications: BEng or MEng in Computer Engineering or Electronic Engineering, with a focus on AI, Machine Vision, or Robotics.

Skills and Experience: Software design skills, experience in developing Machine Vision algorithms, programming skills in C and Python, and experience with Real-Time System Development, including edge computing platforms. Ability to work in a team, strong problem-solving skills, and an interest in AI Robotics and R&D are essential.

This is a small, technologically advanced company that designs solutions from first principles for mining and industrial environments. The role involves developing products that enhance safety for workers and systems for collision avoidance in mining and construction sectors.

Responsibilities:

1. Design and develop advanced machine vision algorithms for object and people detection in challenging industrial environments.
2. Develop software integrating safety systems with machine interfaces like CANbus.
3. Create operator and user interfaces for safety systems on existing and new products.
4. Develop AI training tools using Python and C.
5. Design and develop embedded platforms and communication systems for safety products.
6. Optimize algorithms for real-time processing on edge devices.
7. Conduct testing and validation to ensure system reliability and accuracy.
8. Stay updated with the latest advancements in AI machine vision and deep learning.
