Job summary

ELCB is seeking an AI Engineer who can move fluidly between research and production: prototype a new model or prompting approach quickly, then harden it into a reliable, observable, cost-efficient service that scales.

You will design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services, and work with Azure Functions, API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus and Azure OpenAI, contributing to data platform services while maintaining strong customer-service orientation.

Qualifications

• Strong backend skills: Python (FastAPI, Django, or similar) and designing/building APIs and services.
• Experience designing and building APIs and services.
• Experience with RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Knowledge of Azure analytics services and Microsoft Fabric is a plus.
• Experience in a fully remote, fast-scaling services company.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and ship features across the full stack—from database to backend services and frontend UI.
• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services.
• Move fluidly between research and production, prototyping models or prompting approaches, then hardening into reliable, observable services at scale.
• Integrate with Azure services such as Azure Functions, API Management, Logic Apps, Service Bus and Azure OpenAI.
