Qualifications

Matric and a Degree or Diploma in Computer Science.
2-5 years of software development experience in enterprise environments.
Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI, automation, or digital solutions.
Experience integrating applications, APIs, and business systems.
Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
Exposure to cloud-based application development and deployment.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered applications, copilots, virtual assistants, and AI agents.
Configure and develop solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, and Azure OpenAI.
Build prompt orchestration, workflows, integrations, and conversational experiences.
Develop and configure AI agents to automate business processes and enhance user experiences.
Support PoCs, pilots, MVPs, and production implementations.
Contribute to reusable AI accelerators, frameworks, and development standards.
Translate business requirements into practical AI and automation solutions.
Integrate AI with enterprise apps, APIs, databases, and business systems.
Develop secure and scalable integrations using Microsoft Graph and Azure services.
Perform testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimisation.
Document technical designs, deployment guides, solution architecture, and procedures.
Follow engineering standards, participate in design reviews, and ensure security/compliance.
Support continuous improvement of AI engineering practices and DevOps pipelines.
Apply Responsible AI principles throughout the lifecycle.
Collaborate with stakeholders and participate in Agile ceremonies.

The AI Developer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying AI-powered solutions using the Microsoft AI ecosystem. The role focuses on delivering business-driven AI use cases, building reusable AI components, and enabling enterprise adoption of Microsoft AI technologies.

AI Solution Development

Design, develop, test, and deploy AI-powered applications, copilots, virtual assistants, and AI agents.
Configure and develop solutions using Azure AI Foundry, Copilot Studio, Azure AI Services, and Azure OpenAI.
Build prompt orchestration, workflows, integrations, and conversational experiences.
Develop and configure AI agents to automate business processes and enhance user experiences.
Support the delivery of proofs of concept (PoCs), pilots, MVPs, and production implementations.
Contribute to reusable AI accelerators, frameworks, and development standards.

Technical Delivery

Translate business requirements into practical AI and automation solutions.
Integrate AI capabilities with enterprise applications, APIs, databases, and business systems.
Develop secure and scalable integrations using Microsoft Graph, APIs, custom connectors, and Azure services.
Perform testing, troubleshooting, debugging, and performance optimisation.
Document technical designs, deployment guides, solution architecture, and operational procedures.

Engineering Excellence

Follow established engineering standards, coding practices, and architectural principles.
Participate in technical design reviews, peer reviews, and code reviews.
Ensure AI solutions meet security, compliance, scalability, and maintainability requirements.
Support continuous improvement of AI engineering practices and development methodologies.
Apply Responsible AI principles throughout the solution lifecycle.

Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement

Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, architects, engineers, and testers.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.
Support knowledge transfer, demonstrations, and enablement initiatives.
Contribute to the growth of internal AI capabilities and communities of practice.

Experience

2–5 years of software development experience.
Experience delivering solutions within enterprise technology environments.
Hands-on experience developing and deploying AI, automation, or digital solutions.
Experience integrating applications, APIs, and business systems.
Experience working within Agile delivery teams.
Exposure to cloud-based application development and deployment.
