Job summary

Ignition Group seeks an AI Art Director to own the brand's visual identity and scalable system, producing on-brand assets at high volume with AI-driven workflows. You will lead image and video creation, manage brand hygiene, and push for consistent output across web, in-product, packaging and retail.

The role requires a portfolio showcasing AI-generated and AI-directed work, plus experience building brand systems across multiple surfaces, with a strong understanding of the South African market.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating distinctive taste and craft across AI-generated and AI-directed work.
• Experience building or maintaining a brand/visual system across digital and physical surfaces.

Responsibilities

• Own Spot's visual identity and scalable visual system across channels.
• Maintain a well-organised, version-controlled brand asset library for AI workflows.
• Hold the quality line — decide what is good enough to ship.
• Generate and art-direct imagery using AI tools with control over style and composition.
• Finish and refine AI output to production standards in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Turn briefs into finished, on-brand creative across web, in-product, packaging and retail.
• Produce and direct AI video and motion for ads and content.
• Lead internal brand rollout and ensure brand hygiene.
• Build reusable styles, references and prompts for volume production.
• Apply taste and judgement as final filter on AI output.
