Job summary

DVT is seeking an experienced AI Architect to drive AI strategy, architecture, and solution design across client engagements and internal initiatives. This senior role combines enterprise architecture, AI advisory, stakeholder engagement and technology leadership.

We are looking for an experienced AI Architect to drive AI strategy, architecture, and solution design across client engagements and internal initiatives. This is a senior consulting role that combines enterprise architecture, AI advisory, stakeholder engagement, and technology leadership.

As an AI Architect, you will provide strategic direction and architectural leadership for AI initiatives across a diverse client portfolio. You will work with business stakeholders, executives, architects, delivery teams, and engineers to identify opportunities, evaluate technology options, and design scalable AI solutions that solve real business problems.

This role is not primarily focused on hands on development. Instead, you will operate at an enterprise level, guiding clients and delivery teams on AI strategy, solution architecture, implementation approaches, governance, and best practices.

You will play a key role in helping organisations navigate the rapidly evolving AI landscape while ensuring solutions are practical, secure, scalable, and aligned to business objectives.

AI Strategy & Advisory:

• Advise clients and internal stakeholders on AI opportunities, capabilities, risks, and implementation approaches.
• Facilitate AI discovery workshops and strategy sessions.
• Translate business challenges into AI solution opportunities.
• Provide thought leadership on emerging AI technologies, platforms, and architectural trends.
• Guide organisations in developing AI roadmaps and adoption strategies.

Architecture & Solution Design:

• Design enterprise AI architectures that align with business and technology strategies.
• Evaluate AI platforms, tools, frameworks, and services to determine the most appropriate implementation approach.
• Define target state architectures, integration patterns, security requirements, and governance models.
• Create architecture blueprints, roadmaps, reference architectures, and implementation plans.
• Identify reusable components, existing capabilities, and gaps that need to be addressed.

Stakeholder Engagement:

• Engage with business leaders, executives, product owners, and technical teams.
• Present architectural recommendations and solution options to stakeholders.
• Facilitate decision making through clear communication of benefits, risks, trade offs, and implementation considerations.
• Build trusted advisor relationships across client and internal teams.

Delivery Enablement:

• Provide architectural oversight across AI programmes and initiatives.
• Support delivery teams with architecture guidance throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, secure, and aligned with architectural standards.
• Contribute to governance processes, architecture reviews, and design authority forums.

Innovation & Thought Leadership:

• Stay current with advancements in AI, Generative AI, Agentic AI, machine learning, and related technologies.
• Contribute to DVT's AI capability development and market positioning.
• Mentor consultants, architects, and technical teams.
• Support business development activities through solution shaping, proposals, and client engagements.

Minimum Requirements:

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, solution architecture, enterprise architecture, data, cloud, or related technology disciplines.
• Proven experience designing enterprise scale technology solutions.
• Experience leading architecture engagements and providing strategic technology guidance.
• Strong stakeholder management and consulting skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non technical audiences.
• Experience translating business requirements into architectural solutions.

Preferred Experience:

• Experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Agentic AI, RAG architectures, AI platforms, or machine learning solutions.
• Experience evaluating and recommending AI technologies and platforms.
• Experience creating enterprise roadmaps, architecture strategies, and implementation plans.
• Consulting experience within technology services, digital transformation, or professional services environments.
• Experience working with major cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
• Experience with governance, risk, security, and responsible AI practices.
