We are seeking Doctors and Emergency Care Practitioners (ECPs) who hold valid American Heart Association (AHA) BLS and ACLS Provider certification and are passionate about teaching. This is your opportunity to expand your career as an AHA Certified Instructor in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS).

This is not a traditional employment position. Instead, it is an opportunity to qualify as an AHA-certified instructor under the HSTCSA banner. To begin, candidates must successfully complete the upcoming AHA BLS & ACLS Instructor Course scheduled for 10–11 November in Durban.

Once certified, instructors will be able to deliver AHA-certified training through HSTCSA on a flexible, freelance basis — both during scheduled course dates in Pinetown, Durban, and remotely where applicable.

Key Responsibilities

•Deliver AHA BLS & ACLS training to healthcare professionals and students.

•Facilitate both in-person training and remote learning sessions when required.

•Uphold and promote the highest standards of emergency care education under the HSTCSA brand.

•(Optional bonus) Contribute to the development of e-learning content or training materials if you have additional digital or design skills.

Qualifications & Requirements

•Registered Doctor or Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP).

•Current AHA BLS and ACLS Provider certification.

•Passion for teaching, mentorship, and professional development.

•Strong communication and facilitation skills.

•Completion of the AHA Instructor Course (mandatory before beginning instructor duties).

•(Advantageous) Skills in digital learning, instructional design, or content creation.
