Placements24 is seeking a skilled Agricultural Equipment Technician to join our Richards Bay operation. You will diagnose, repair, and service tractors, harvesters, sprayers, and irrigation systems, ensuring minimal downtime during peak farming periods.

This hands-on role requires strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting, attention to safety, and the ability to read manuals and schematics.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Equipment Technician, preferably with agricultural machinery.
• Strong mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
• Proficiency in using diagnostic equipment and hand tools.
• Valid driver's license and a commitment to safety in the workshop and field environments.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and preventive servicing on all farm machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
• Repair and replace worn or faulty parts, ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards.
• Maintain detailed records of all maintenance and repair activities performed.
• Assist with the setup and operation of new agricultural equipment as needed.
