Job Description
The ideal team player will demonstrate substantial skills in financial modeling and possess excellent verbal and written communication abilities. The role requires the interpretation of financial statements, as well as the compilation of budgets and forecasts. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to adopt a project management approach to ensure effective execution of tasks and responsibilities.

Requirements

  • Qualification in Agricultural Economics: BSc Agricultural Economics, BCom (Agricultural Economics); BCom Financial Management with Agricultural Economics.
  • RE5 is not a requirement but would be beneficial.
  • Practical knowledge of the National Credit Act.
  • Similar role fulfilled within Agricultural businesses, Commercial Banks, Development Financing Institutions.
  • Financial modeling of client needs.
  • 3-5 years of relevant experience.
  • Preparation and motivation of credit recommendations.
  • Structuring of transactions with recommendations to selection mandates and/or credit committees.
  • Willingness to travel.
  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive Agricultural Economic and advisory services.
  • Conduct feasibility studies within the Financing department.
  • Compilation of risk reports and credit evaluations.
  • Development and implementation of cash flow models.
  • Compilation and maintenance of production standards within the service area.
  • Client liaison and visits.
  • Participation in study groups.
  • Involvement in the development and training of colleagues within the department.
