Job summary

Abacus Agile is seeking a technically minded Technical Sales Representative for agricultural drone technology. The role focuses on supporting farmers in Limpopo and Mpumalanga, with base in Nelspruit / Mbombela.

You will demonstrate drone-based spraying and precision farming solutions and drive adoption through hands-on demonstrations. You will need a strong blend of agricultural knowledge and drone expertise, plus the ability to travel extensively and translate complex tech into practical

Qualifications

• Proven experience in technical sales, preferably within agriculture.
• Ability to fly agricultural drones and explain drone tech to farmers.
• Valid RPC Remote Pilot Licence or equivalent drone qualification.
• PCO qualification would be highly advantageous.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
• Strong understanding of agriculture and farming operations.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain relationships with farmers across Limpopo and Mpumalanga.
• Identify opportunities for agricultural drone technology adoption.
• Demonstrate and sell drone-based spraying and precision agriculture solutions.
• Conduct product demonstrations and technical presentations.
• Provide clients with technical advice and support.
• Identify customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.
• Manage the sales process from lead generation to closing.
• Develop new business within the agricultural sector.
• Maintain strong relationships with existing clients and seek additional sales.
• Attend agricultural events and industry days as required.
• Collaborate with technical and operational teams for successful implementation.
