Job description

Summary

xgmi builds agents that feel considered—precise language, sound judgment, reliable execution.

We’re hiring an individual contributor to steward the context our agents use: the words they speak, the tools they call, the knowledge they trust, and the flows they follow.

You don’t need years of “agent experience.” You do need excellent writing, crisp thinking, and the ability to learn fast, structure ambiguity, and ship improvements.

What you will do

  • Own the prompt layer. Author, refine, and govern prompts and guardrails. Maintain a living prompt library with versioning, review, and clean rollback.
  • Curate context with intent. Map workflows to the right tools, APIs, and knowledge bases. Define owners, access, freshness SLAs, and citation standards.
  • Design dependable flows. Orchestrate multi-step agent runs with clear handoffs, fallbacks, and human-in-the-loop paths. Reliability by design.
  • Trace → insight → fix. Read logs and traces, spot failure patterns, and land targeted improvements (prompt, tool, or knowledge). Prove impact with lightweight evals and A/B tests.
  • Operational clarity. Publish playbooks, change logs, and launch notes. If it changed, it’s documented - and understood.
  • Partner elegantly. Work with Product, Engineers, Data, Support, and Docs to prioritize, communicate trade-offs, and ship improvements that stick.

You'll be a fit if you

  • Are an excellent writer who can set tone, instruction, and guardrails - and explain trade-offs clearly.
  • Think critically and structure ambiguous problems into hypotheses, experiments, and decisions.
  • Comfortable with data and structure: reading logs, working in dashboards / spreadsheets / databases, and running simple experiments.
  • Bring 2 - 6 years in any of: product ops, content / conversation design, knowledge management, business analysis, or research - or a portfolio that proves equivalent impact.
  • Learn quickly, give and receive feedback well, and keep a high bar for craft.

How we will manage success

  • Impact: visible lift in task success on priority flows, with grounded/cited answers where required.
  • Speed & cost: performance that meets agreed SLAs and trends leaner over time.
  • Reliability: fewer escalations, fast closes, and changes that land without surprises.
  • Knowledge health: critical sources stay fresh, owned, and properly cited.
  • Operating discipline: every change is versioned, documented, and reversible; a steady evaluation cadence informs decisions.

90-day snapshot: success criteria and SLAs aligned; prompt governance & change control operationalised; standardised flows with intentional HITL; authoritative tools / knowledge base inventory with owners and freshness; observability calibrated with a steady eval rhythm; targeted fixes shipped; executive readout and next-wave roadmap delivered.
