About the Role

Macmillan Education South Africa is seeking to appoint an experienced professional to the position as Agency and Digital Sales Consultant. This role requires excellent interpersonal skills, advanced computer literacy, exceptional presentation and communication abilities, and the capacity to multitask and manage stressful situations.

The ideal candidate will be energetic, dynamic, a team player, and possess strong negotiation skills, attention to detail, and a thorough understanding of the South African education landscape. National travel is required.

Role Responsibilities:

1. Visits to targeted customers, such as schools, aggregators, trade, and booksellers, aligned with the annual customer calling schedule.
2. Market products to customers and secure adoptions of print and digital products nationally.
3. Prepare and conduct product presentations.
4. Product training for both internal and external customers.
5. Prepare display materials and exhibit at relevant exhibitions and events.
6. Prepare product briefs for the Marketing department for both Agency and Digital Marketing campaigns.
7. Assist with maintaining Agency relationships, submission opportunities and reports.
8. Build strong relationships and offer customer support.

Experience, Skills & Qualifications:

1. Matric Certificate.
2. Qualification in Education, Sales or Information & Technology will be advantageous.
3. 3 years of sales experience.
4. Advanced computer literacy skills.
5. Experience in the publishing industry is advantageous.
6. Good understanding of the education sector, including any teaching experience is advantageous.
