About the Role

As a Home Care Worker you will be providing personalised home care support to older Australians in Newcastle and surrounding suburbs to assist them to continue living independently in their own homes. You will travel between clients homes so a willingness to travel up to a 60 km radius will be required.

This is a Permanent Part Time opportunity with shifts available between 7am and 6pm Monday to Sunday with no evening or overnight shifts. Standard shifts are between 2 to 4 hours in length. We are growing our services in the Newcastle area and this role will initially include some administration and marketing responsibilities while a larger client base is built and the role will then be purely providing services to clients in their homes.

Skills & Experience

  • Passionate about making a positive impact in our ageing community
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing Disability or similar)
  • An Australian Drivers Licence and reliable vehicle with minimum thirdparty insurance.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • A current First Aid and CPR Certificate (must be obtained prior to employment)

Successful candidates will be required to undertake relevant preemployment checks to ensure the safety of our clients. This includes a National Criminal History Record Check and an Aged Care Statutory Declaration.
