Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an Aftercare Supervisor to manage a school-aged program in Pretoria. You will supervise children after school, oversee homework support, and run structured, engaging activities in a safe environment until pickup.

The role emphasizes strong communication with parents, reliable attendance tracking, and the ability to calm and redirect children as needed. First Aid/CPR is preferred.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising school-aged children in a program, camp, or aftercare setting.
• Strong focus on child safety and supervision requirements.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with parents and staff.
• Ability to plan and lead engaging group activities for children.

Responsibilities

• Supervise children aged 6-12 in the aftercare program.
• Assist with homework and provide academic support when needed.
• Organize and run recreational activities, games, and crafts.
• Maintain a safe, secure environment and address minor behavioral issues.
• Keep attendance records and communicate daily updates to parents.
• Ensure smooth flow of the program until children are picked up.
