Afrikaans Teacher (First Additional Language)

Kearsney College is a leading independent boarding and day school for approximately 650 boys from Grades 8 to 12. Kearsney has an outstanding record of academic achievement in the IEB Matriculation Examinations and provides a dynamic sporting and cultural offering.

Afrikaans Teacher (First Additional Language)

Grades 8 to 12

Required Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

• B Education (FET / GET) or Bachelor’s degree and PGCE;
• prior IEB teaching experience with a minimum of five years subject specialisation;
• proven track record of delivering outstanding results;
• passion for teaching Afrikaans First Additional Language and a commitment to pupil success;
• excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and engage effectively with pupils and colleagues;
• excellent administrative, planning and organising skills;
• ability to innovate and skilfully integrate technology into the classroom to enhance the learning experience;
• willingness to be fully involved in the life of the school, which includes the extensive extra-curricular programme, pastoral care and the boarding establishment;
• IEB NSC marking experience is an added advantage;
• valid SACE registration.
