Full-time

Africa Talent by Deloitte (Africa Talent) is a standalone division of Deloitte, owned by Deloitte Africa and Deloitte Netherlands, based in South Africa.

Our goal is to meet the growing demand for Talent in Africa and Europe by recruiting and developing Talent throughout Sub Saharan Africa to service the diverse needs and enable projects at our clients.

Talent employed will experience Deloitte's full range while getting both international and local exposure to a diverse set of clients, working remotely from Africa.

You will guide junior staff and be an important contact person for the client.

For IT Audit and Third-Party Assurance (e.g., ISAE, SOC) projects, you will:

  1. Test design, implementation, and operating effectiveness for relevant controls in the system.
  2. Provide your client with solid advice that matches the risks of the organization, the people, and their work ethic.
  3. Work on diverse projects that vary from small-scale engagements to long-term IT Audit and Third-Party Assurance projects.
  4. Get the opportunity to work on both audit and advisory assignments to provide different experiences and learning opportunities.

Your responsibilities will increase fast as the learning curve is steep.

Minimum Requirements:

  1. A completed university degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Science, or Accounting.
  2. Favourable to have obtained professional certifications or passed the examinations for CISA or CIA.
  3. A completed university degree at the master's level will be advantageous.

Experience & Skills:

  1. 5-6 years of experience in performing IT audits and risk assessment assignments.
  2. Strong understanding of complex business and IT processes, and their related risks.
  3. Competency in ERP systems such as SAP and Oracle is an added advantage.
  4. Able to evaluate IT internal controls and identify opportunities for controls improvement.
  5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  6. Beneficial with experience/accreditation of PCAOB.
  7. Able to multi-task and possess effective time management skills.
  8. Able to produce high-quality work deliverables in a timely manner.
  9. Build and nurture positive working relationships with clients with the intention to exceed their expectations.
  10. Excellent written English and interpersonal skills; a team player and communicator, and a self-starter.
  11. Knowledge of IT standards, frameworks, and best practices (e.g., ISO, COBIT, NIST).
