As an Assistant Manager, you will contribute to decarbonization and net-zero initiatives by applying your knowledge of GHG emissions measurement, reporting, and reduction.

You will support client projects, proposals, meetings, workshops, research, and articles.

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional to join Deloitte.

You will leverage your expertise in GHG emissions to support clients in their decarbonization strategies and net-zero goals.You will be responsible for : Managing day-to-day delivery of decarbonization and climate impact advisory projects, ensuring high-quality outputs and timely delivery.Supporting client communication, including preparing presentations, facilitating workshops, and stakeholder engagement.Building and maintaining decarbonization models to assess emissions reduction trajectories (Scope 1-3), applying sector-specific benchmarks and scenarios.Conducting research and analysis to identify decarbonization levers, assess abatement potentials, and align interventions with standards.Creating high-quality reports with analysis and advice.Providing insights on emissions scopes, science-based targets, decarbonization strategies, and building strong client relationships.Leading project teams across South Africa and the Netherlands as part of the African Talent Business Model.Qualifications4-8 years of relevant experience.Bachelor's or Master's in Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.Experience in GHG emissions accounting and familiarity with the GHG Protocol, especially scope 3 emissions.Knowledge of GHG targets, including Science-Based Targets, PCAF, Net Zero, and sector-specific targets.Ability to engage with senior stakeholders and communicate complex concepts clearly.Experience in decarbonization technologies across industries, with operational insights.Ambitious, independent, and able to perform under pressure.ESG audit experience is a plus.Proficiency in Dutch is an advantage.Additional InformationWe are open to discussing your next career move.
