About Africa Talent by Deloitte (Africa Talent) is a standalone division of Deloitte, owned by Deloitte Africa and Deloitte Netherlands, based in South Africa. Our goal is to meet the growing demand for Talent in Africa and Europe by recruiting and developing Talent throughout Sub Saharan Africa to service client needs. Talent employed will have Deloitte experience with international and local exposure, working remotely from Africa. As part of the division, we focus on risk advisory, IT security, governance, data integrity, and privacy. We assist organisations by taking a risk‑intelligent approach to managing financial, technology and business risks, leveraging a global network to mitigate risks related to internal systems, processes, projects, data and third‑party reliance.

The Africa Talent work readiness program is a performance enhancement program where young people engage with leadership through peer-to-peer coaching and mentoring to develop critical skills for the business environment. You will develop skills such as business process design, time management, conflict resolution, emotional resilience, critical thinking and business solutioning to enhance future employability and mobility. As a graduate, you will be upskilled to serve clients with distinction, with a focus on continuous learning and career development.

As part of this program you will gain experience through formal learning and exposure to client engagements. The solution enables organisations to track, map regulatory changes, and access a database of current regulations, with analytics, generative AI and machine learning helping to interpret insights. You will play a key role in the content management process to ensure quality delivery to clients.

What you will do

What you will do? As a graduate, you will be exposed to global best practices within IT audit in a multi‑disciplinary environment. You can expect ongoing learning, development, and support as you launch your career.

The IT Audit & Assurance team provides technology assurance solutions to a range of clients across industries. You will work with engagement teams delivering IT audits and bring ideas, skills and passion for excellence to make an impact that matters.

What is the program like? The program offers a permanent contract starting as a Junior Consultant to learn about the role. In the first month you’ll learn about our organization and context. You will join different engagement teams that perform high quality IT audit assignments for international top clients. After a year, based on progress and performance, you will take on more responsibilities. After the second year there is potential for permanent employment as a consultant. This grad program is designed to help you grow your career with Deloitte.

Qualifications

If you are currently completing or have completed the following qualifications and have less than 6 consecutive months of work experience, or no work experience, we would love to hear from you:

  • B Comm (Information Technology, Information Science)
  • BSc Computer Science, Information Systems
  • B Engineering (Industrial)
  • Any other relevant technology degree is advantageous
  • A postgraduate qualification in any of the above streams is advantageous
