Job summary

redember-recruitment is seeking a Payroll Manager to lead end-to-end payroll operations across multiple African countries using Sage 300 People. You will oversee processing, reconciliations and third-party payments, ensuring accuracy, compliance and audit readiness.

The role requires 5–8 years of payroll leadership, certification, and a Diploma or Degree in Payroll/Finance/HR, with strong governance, risk management and stakeholder engagement.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Payroll, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field.
• Payroll certification (SAIPA, SAPA, CIPP, or equivalent) – advantageous.
• 5–8 years’ payroll experience, including multi-country African payroll exposure.
• Proven experience managing Payroll Specialists, Payroll Supervisors, or Payroll Bookkeepers.
• Strong exposure to payroll reviews, third-party payments, reconciliations, and audits.
• Hands-on experience with Sage 300 People in a leadership capacity.

Responsibilities

• Oversee end-to-end payroll delivery across multiple African countries.
• Governance of all payroll-related third-party payments and reconciliations.
• Lead Payroll Supervisors, Specialists, and Bookkeepers to ensure accuracy and timeliness.
• Ensure audit-ready documentation, controls, and compliance across jurisdictions.
• Collaborate with HR, Finance, and external providers on payroll matters.
