Africa Assurance Innovation and Digital Data Delivery Leader
The Africa Assurance Innovation and Digital South Africa Data Delivery Leader ("SA DD Leader") is responsible for the direction, coordination, implementation, executive, control and completion of all digital delivery projects within the South Africa Data Delivery Team ("SA DD"), while remaining aligned with the strategy, commitments and the goals of the organisation.
The SA DD Leader will also be responsible for identifying areas of inefficiency within the current processes and working closely with the Data Delivery Managers (DDMs) to enable innovative solutions to be built to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the SA DD.
Roles and Responsibilities:
On a daily basis, review the list of new data support requests.
Through discussion with the audit team, help define project scope, goals and deliverables.
Define the timing, tasks and required resources for the SA DD support request.
Review the SA DD fees, budgets and engagement codes.
Manage budget throughout the life of the data support so that overruns are identified early and charged appropriately.
Allocate project resources and manage capacity issues that arise.
Run planning meetings with the Data Delivery Managers (DDMs).
Coordinate for resources and work collaboratively with the Custom Analytics Leader and Automations and Digital Leader to monitor and report on progress and share best practices across the Africa region.
Track deliverables and escalate blockages or changes in expected completion timelines according to the established escalation protocols.
Support and direct the Data Delivery Team in order to unlock challenges and ensure they are able to perform.
Lead quality assurance by maintaining strict adherence to governance policies, specifically quality control protocols on deliverables and data privacy issues.
Monitor and report on project progress.
Present to stakeholders reports on progress as well as problems and proposed solutions.
Implement and manage change when necessary to meet project outputs.
Evaluate and assess results of projects in order to deliver a summary of success or challenges to key stakeholders.
Where capacity allows, assist in other digital implementation projects either in a project manager role or in an execution role where appropriate.

Travel may be required.
Experience:
Proven project, change management experience and strategy execution.
Theoretical and practical project management knowledge.
Proven aptitude and keen interest in technology and technology developments.
Excellent communication (verbal and written), organisational and analytical skills.
Keen ability to exercise good judgement and mitigate risks.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent decision-making and leadership capabilities.
Able to coach and work with junior team members.
Experience in internal / external audit or accounting and / or in data extraction transformation and loading.
