A leading South African-based company in the online gaming and sports betting industry is seeking a skilled and proactive Affiliate Platform & Technical Support Specialist. The company specializes in digital gaming solutions including online casino platforms, sports betting services, and affiliate marketing systems. By leveraging technology, data analytics, and real-time tracking, the organization aims to optimize player engagement, marketing performance, and operational efficiency across a national online and retail footprint.

This role is a critical technical function that bridges marketing, business intelligence, and technology. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy and performance of affiliate tracking systems, managing quality assurance processes, troubleshooting tracking issues, and ensuring seamless integration across internal teams and external partners.

Key Responsibilities

Affiliate & Tracking Operations

  • Conduct regular QA checks on affiliate tracking and e-commerce systems
  • Perform full-funnel user journey testing to ensure pixel and tracking accuracy
  • Manage tracking configurations including postbacks, pixels, and landing page integrations
  • Maintain and troubleshoot SQL databases, API connections, and tracking scripts

Technical Support

  • Provide technical support to Paid Media, BI, Marketing, and Finance teams
  • Resolve issues such as reporting discrepancies, data mismatches, tracking failures, and broken links
  • Provide 24/7 emergency support for tracking-related incidents
  • Assist the BI team with data validation, integration, and affiliate reporting
  • Train internal teams on affiliate tracking tools and best practices

Affiliate & Publisher Collaboration

  • Offer real-time technical support to affiliates for:
  • Pixel setup and postback integration
  • Tracking validation and troubleshooting
  • Reporting and conversion issues
  • Manage user access and role-based permissions on affiliate platforms

Required Experience & Skills:

Core Technical Skills

  • 3+ years’ experience in affiliate tracking, integration, or digital performance tech
  • Strong proficiency with SQL, JavaScript, PHP or Node.js
  • Deep understanding of tracking technologies, postbacks, and event-based data flows
  • Proficiency with Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager (web & mobile)
  • Hands-on experience with affiliate tracking platforms (e.g. HasOffers, Everflow, Impact)

Analytical & Troubleshooting

  • Advanced debugging and problem-solving skills for tracking data
  • Experience with pixel testing, API logs, and traffic simulation tools
  • Ability to build and maintain internal testing environments

Soft Skills

  • Strong communication and documentation abilities
  • Experience training or supporting non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable working under pressure and in cross-functional teams
  • Available for after-hours support on urgent issues

Preferred / Bonus Skills

  • Experience with Android/iOS tracking setups (webview & app stores)
  • Familiarity with SEO, VPNs, proxies, and fraud prevention tools
  • Exposure to cryptocurrencies, blockchain, or financial reporting
  • Knowledge of affiliate campaign structures, revenue share models, and deal integrations
  • Experience maintaining staging/dev environments for QA
