Job Description

The Aerial Lift Trimmer is responsible for trimming, pruning, and removing trees using a bucket truck or other equipment.

Requirements:

• 2-3 years of experience operating an aerial lift trimmer or similar equipment.
• Driver's license preferred.

Essential Functions

• Follow and enforce safe practices and rules.
• Assist in preparing truck and materials under the direction of the General Foreperson.
• Perform professional tree maintenance activities as directed.
• Clear and trim trees and brush away from utility lines; remove branches and debris.
• Clean up and dispose of all debris.
• Maintain and track tools and equipment used daily.
• Practice climbing and tree maintenance skills to improve professional abilities.
• Assist other crew members in daily activities.
• Ensure safety of employees and the public by enforcing safe practices, maintaining a clean work area, and communication.
• Perform storm-related duties as needed.

Experience Requirements

Experience in utility vegetation management, construction, logging, landscaping, mechanical work, or military industries is preferred; previous aerial lift experience is also preferred.

Education Requirements

• Obtain and maintain first-aid and CPR certifications.
• Ability to perform emergency rescue techniques, including tree rescue.
• Quickly respond to potential dangers.
• Willingness to wear PPE and travel for storm restoration work.
