Job summary

Old Mutual Limited is seeking an Advisory Paraplanner in Kimberley to support financial planners with technical research and documentation. The role focuses on data collection, analysis, and preparing compliant client reports and advice materials.

The paraplanner will handle information gathering, document preparation, and routine client communications while maintaining high standards of accuracy and regulatory awareness.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 4/Grade 12 or equivalent required.
• Experience in financial services/paraplanning is advantageous.
• Strong data handling, research, and compliance orientation.

Responsibilities

• Data collection and analysis using preset tools and formats.
• Resolve queries from internal or external customers with policy interpretation.
• Prepare moderately complex documents using standard office software, and summarize data for reports.
• Extract and combine data to generate standard reports.
• Make calls to allocated customers to maintain relationships and handle queries.
• Provide comprehensive financial planning and advice for complex client situations.
• Deliver routine sales support services.
• Understand and apply organizational policies and regulatory codes of conduct.
• Develop own capabilities through training and ongoing education.

While not client-facing in most cases, paraplanners play a crucial role in ensuring that financial advice is accurate, compliant, and well-documented.# Responsibilities#### Data Collection and AnalysisCollate and analyze data using preset tools, methods, and formats. Involves working independently.## Information and Business AdviceResolve queries from internal or external customers or suppliers by providing information on complex processes and the related policies, referring issues to others where necessary for interpretation of policy.## Document PreparationPrepare moderately complex documents using a variety of applications for technology devices, such as standard office software. Also responsible for gathering and summarizing data for reports.## Insights and ReportingExtract and combine data to generate standard reports.## Customer Relationship Management / Account ManagementMake calls (by telephone or in person) to allocated customers to maintain and strengthen existing relationships. Act as a first point of contact for resolving customer queries and complaints.## Financial AdviceConduct comprehensive financial planning and advice services for more complex client situations.## SalesDeliver mostly routine sales support services.## Operational ComplianceDevelop knowledge and understanding of the organization's policies and procedures and of relevant regulatory codes and codes of conduct to ensure own work adheres to those standards.
