South African Regulatory framework of insurance / brokerage industry.

Internal customers: Indwe divisions and departments.

Individual Insurance Manager.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Matric
  • Advantage: Higher Certificate in Insurance (NQF5)
  • Passed exam - RE: Representatives
Experience
  • Advisor: Sales and Service
  • Minimum 4 years' experience within short-term personal lines insurance, including 2 years in a sales and service environment.
Skills
  • Communication, Analytical ability, Negotiation, Planning and organising, Decision making, Selling, Listening and assessing, Time management, Ability to adapt to change.
Knowledge
  • Understanding of the insurance and brokerage industry and environment, Sound knowledge of personal lines insurance, FAIS requirements, Legal requirements, Technical insurance knowledge – underwriting.

Key Performance Areas
Grow Portfolio
  • Develop and implement a proactive sales plan.
  • Meet new business targets, identify and build relationships, negotiate with insurers, and engage in up- and cross-selling.
Retain and Maintain Clients
  • Identify new business opportunities, liaise with insurers, build relationships through regular calls, and inform clients of latest products.
Perform Administration
  • Load policies, amendments, endorsements, ensure premium payment processes, maintain data integrity, handle correspondence, and adhere to standards and requirements.
