Job summary

A growing UK wealth and financial planning firm is seeking an Advice Assessor based in South Africa. We are a growing UK based Wealth and Financial Planning firm looking to grow an Advice Assessor team in South Africa. We are a fast-paced and evolving firm, continuously streamlining our services for our high-net-worth clients. This is an exciting opportunity to support our mission.

You will play a crucial role in supporting our delivery of exceptional client service. We have a well-established UK based team, and we are now hoping to hire a great team in South Africa.

About the role

As an Advice Assessor, you will be responsible for conducting detailed reviews of client files to ensure our financial advice meets the highest standards. Your work will align with both internal policies and regulatory expectations, helping us uphold our high standards.

Accountabilities

  • Conduct evaluations and audits of client files for all Atomos products, including pensions, investments, and insurances, ensuring that clear objectives have been established and met.
  • Identify any potential risks and provide recommendations on the advice given by Atomos Financial Planners.
  • Assist in preventing foreseeable harm to clients per UK Consumer Duty principles.

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience working within a File Checker / Assessor role or Financial Adviser role, preferably within a financial or wealth management firm.
  • Experience working with IT systems that support this service - we use XPlan but full training will be provided.
  • A high level oftechnical knowledge and understanding of FCA rules.
  • You must be CFP qualified or working towards. Our UK Assessors hold a Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning. We would want you to be comparable.
  • Excellent knowledge of Pensions and Investment products.
  • Priority will go to anyone who has supported a UK firm previously.


Other notes

You will be part of our firm, but supporting from South Africa. You will be expected to work to UK bank holidays (you can use your own annual leave for South African holidays if preferred).
