Job description

Advertising Learnership 2026/2027 at Dynamic DNA

Are you a young person in South Africa looking for a way to break into the creative world? Do you find yourself watching adverts on TV or looking at posters and thinking, “I could design something better than that”? If you have a passion for creativity and a Matric certificate, this is the opportunity you have been waiting for.

Dynamic DNA is a well‑known training academy that helps young people get the skills they need for the modern world. They are currently offering a National Certificate in Advertising (NQF Level 5). This is a full qualification that combines theory and practical work to make sure you are ready for a real job.

What is a National Certificate in Advertising?

Advertising is a massive industry in South Africa. Every big company, from Pick n Pay to Vodacom, needs people to help them sell their products. This NQF Level 5 qualification is designed to teach you exactly how an advertising agency works.

When you complete this learnership, you will understand the “behind the scenes” of the media world. By the end of the learnership, you will be a qualified professional who understands copywriting, art direction, and client service. This is a great way to get your “foot in the door” of a high‑paying career.

The Minimum Requirements for Applicants

To make sure you have the best chance of succeeding in this program, Dynamic DNA has set some simple entry rules. Please check this list carefully before you decide to apply:

  • Qualification: You must have a Grade 12 (Matric) certificate or an equivalent NQF Level 4 qualification.
  • Language: You must have passed English with a score of 50% or higher. Since advertising is about communication, being good at English is very important.
  • Mathematics: You must have a pass of 50% or higher in either Mathematics or Maths Literacy.
  • Location: The classes are held Full-Time on‑campus. This means you must be able to travel to their campus from Monday to Friday.
  • Attitude: They are looking for people with a strong work ethic, a positive attitude toward others, and a willingness to learn new things.

What Subjects and Modules Will You Study?

This learnership is very exciting because it covers many different parts of the creative world. Here are the main things you will study during your time at Dynamic DNA:

  • Copywriting: You will learn how to write catchy headlines and stories that make people want to buy a product.
  • Art Direction and Design: You will learn how to use colors, photos, and layouts to make an advert look beautiful.
  • Public Relations (PR): You will learn how to manage the reputation of a company and how to talk to the news and the public.
  • Client Service: This teaches you how to talk to big business owners and understand what they need for their brands.
  • Media Buying: You will learn how companies choose where to put their ads, whether it is on the radio, TV, or social media.
  • Social Science: Understanding why people behave the way they do is a big part of successful advertising.
Why Choose This Learnership?

Many people wonder why they should do a learnership instead of just looking for any random job. Here are three big reasons:

  • Earn While You Learn: Most accredited learnerships provide a small monthly allowance (stipend) to help you with transport and food while you study.
  • Work Experience: You don’t just sit in a classroom. You get to see how real advertising projects are handled, which looks amazing on your CV.
  • Better Job Opportunities: Companies prefer hiring people who already have a qualification. This NQF Level 5 certificate makes you much more “employable” than someone with only a Matric.
