Position: Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider
The Hospitalist Advanced Practice Provider is responsible for providing direct patient care and coordinating collaborative patient care during assigned shifts for acutely ill patients, including those of high acuity and critically ill. Additional administrative duties will support the success of the Hospital Medicine Service, including performance improvement activities and participation in CQI initiatives.
Must be a graduate of an accredited school for APRN/NP. Current Nebraska state license to practice as an APRN/NP and Registered Nurse (RN). Active certification through either the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP). Current DEA licensure. Continued CME to meet state, licensing board, and stroke certification requirements.
Must be a graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program. Current Nebraska state licensure to practice as a Physician Assistant. Active certification with the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). Current DEA licensure. Continued CME to meet licensing and stroke certification requirements.
Preferred: Two (2) years of APP experience in an acute care setting.
Basic Life Support (CPR) certification is required. Bryan Health recognizes certifications from the American Heart Association (for healthcare professionals), American Red Cross (for healthcare professionals), and the Military Training Network.
Advanced Life Support (ACLS) certification is required.
Current NIHSS certification is required.
