Placements24 is seeking a skilled Machine Operator for our client in Soweto, Gauteng. You will set up and run CNC machines and laser cutters, monitor production, and ensure parts meet precise specifications in a fast-paced, safety-conscious factory environment.

This role requires good mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to read drawings. You will participate in routine maintenance, document output, and collaborate with the team to keep production goals on track.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational certificate preferred.
• Experience operating CNC or laser fabrication equipment.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor advanced fabrication machinery per specs and safety guidelines.
• Set up, calibrate, and adjust machines for production runs.
• Perform quality checks on fabricated parts.
• Conduct preventive maintenance on machinery.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and work orders.
• Record production data and report deviations.
• Collaborate with supervisors to achieve production goals.
