Minimum requirements
- In-depth practical knowledge and experience in property law and conveyancing processes is essential.
- Admitted Attorney, Conveyancer, with a minimum of 2 years’ post-admission experience.
- Fully bilingual (verbal and written).
- Proven track record in conveyancing practice, with the ability to manage transactions independently.
- Excellent client service and communication skills, with a professional and approachable manner.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and show effective team leadership when required.
- Meticulous attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Thorough understanding of bank processes and compliance requirements, including document handling and turnaround expectations.
- Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport are essential for attending to client consultations or Deeds Office matters.

Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end management of conveyancing transactions, including property transfers (sectional title and full title), mortgage bond registrations, and bond cancellations.
- Accurate drafting and reviewing of all conveyancing-related documentation, ensuring legal compliance and attention to detail.
- Thorough understanding of Deeds Office procedures, timelines, lodgement and registration processes.
- Manage high volumes of conveyancing matters, maintaining precision, compliance, and turnaround times under pressure.
- Utilise conveyancing software and banking systems (e.g. LexisConvey, GhostConvey, E4) effectively to manage and track transactions.
- Ensure strict compliance with all applicable legislation and related regulatory frameworks.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, offering professional advice, clear communication, and high-quality service throughout the transaction.
- Lead, support, and manage a small legal or conveyancing team when necessary, ensuring collaborative workflow and mentoring of junior staff.
- Responsible for managing finances related to conveyancing matters, including trust account oversight, preparation of final accounts, handling of all payments and disbursements in accordance with legal and ethical obligations.
