  • Attend meetings with trustees, managing agents and external attorneys.
  • Travel to sites and attend AGMs/SGMs.
  • Assist with dispute resolution and general legal advisory services.

VACANCY: JUNIOR ATTORNEY / RECENTLY ADMITTED ATTORNEY

Join a Growing Team

A well-established property management company is seeking a motivated, professional, and detail-oriented Junior Attorney / Recently Admitted Attorney to join their growing team based in Sundowner, Randburg.

This role offers an excellent opportunity for a young legal professional looking to gain hands-on experience within the community schemes and property management sector while working closely with trustees, managing agents, and external legal teams.

Role Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for, inter alia:

  • Managing and overseeing external attorneys and legal processes;
  • Handling in-house debt collection matters and legal debtor management;
  • Providing legal guidance and support to community schemes;
  • Drafting and reviewing legal documentation, including:
    • Contracts;
    • Service Level Agreements;
    • Employment Agreements;
    • Conduct Rules;
    • CSOS Applications; and
    • Various legal correspondence and related documents;
  • Attending meetings with trustees, managing agents, and external attorneys;
  • Travelling to sites and attending Annual General Meetings (AGMs) and Special General Meetings (SGMs);
  • Assisting with dispute resolution and general legal advisory services within the community schemes environment.
Minimum Requirements
  • Admitted Attorney of the High Court of South Africa, or recently admitted;
  • Valid driver’s licence and reliable motor vehicle (non-negotiable);
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills;
  • Strong negotiation and interpersonal abilities;
  • High attention to detail and strong organisational skills;
  • Ability to work independently, within a team, and directly with clients;
  • Strong legal drafting, research, and analytical skills.
Advantageous Experience

Previous experience within the community schemes industry — including portfolio management, levy collections, or community schemes advisory — will be advantageous, but is not essential for this junior position.
