Job description

Technical Solutions is looking for an experienced Administrator to provide technical services for residential, corporate, industrial, mining, educational, and private sectors nationwide.

Job Purpose:

The Administrator / Technical Coordinator and Logistics is responsible for managing administrative functions, coordinating technical operations, and ensuring seamless workflow between technicians, clients, and management. This high-pressure role requires excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills. The candidate must be able to work independently and as part of a team while handling multiple tasks efficiently.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle a high-pressure work environment.
  • Experience in project management and logistics.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Reside in Strand, Somerset-West, or Stellenbosch.
  • Own transport is required.
  • Minimum Grade 12 or equivalent qualification.
  • 3-5 years of administrative experience within a technical or engineering environment.
  • Reporting and typing skills.
  • Attention to detail, accuracy, discretion, and judgment.
  • Patience and problem-solving abilities.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Technical Support & Administration: Perform administrative duties, support staff, assist with travel arrangements, maintain technical records, and prepare reports and presentations.
  2. Coordination & Communication: Act as liaison between technical teams, clients, and departments; coordinate meetings, training, site visits; follow up on action items.
  3. Compliance & Quality Assurance: Ensure adherence to policies and standards; assist with audits; handle confidential information.
  4. Project Management: Load projects within 24-48 hours, raise POs within 24 hours, provide invoicing feedback, liaise on WIP, oversee expenses.
  5. Procurement & Inventory Management: Manage POs, goods receipt, supplier communication, stock, and vendor documentation; handle faulty equipment repairs.
