Role Purpose

To be responsible for the allocation of premiums on various bank accounts for the Momentum Corporate business book.

Requirements
  • Grade 12 or equivalent. Qualification in Accounting is preferred.
  • 2–3 Years' relevant experience in a similar or related field.
  • Experience in the Insurance or other Financial Services industry is preferable.
  • Knowledge of the insurance and investment industry is preferred.
Duties & Responsibilities
  • Daily allocations of premiums on the bank statement.
  • Daily monitoring of the bank mailbox and assisting with queries received.
  • Preparing a monthly unallocated report and ensuring follow-ups occur.
  • Monthly close-off and balancing of the cashbook.
  • Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Processing of monthly journals.
  • Assisting with audit queries related to bank accounts and engaging with auditors.
  • Processing payments, including Forex.
  • Capturing manual debit orders.
  • Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Providing accurate financial information.
  • Investigating internal client queries within the service levels and ensuring timely feedback.
  • Escalating internal client queries to the relevant department.
  • Providing expertise and advice to internal clients and stakeholders.
  • Maintaining relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Delivering on service level agreements to manage client expectations.
  • Recommending improvements to client service and fair treatment.
  • Participating in a culture of rewarding relationships, feedback, and exceptional service.
  • Identifying opportunities to enhance cost-effectiveness and operational efficiency.
