The Climate Cluster team in Hatfield, Pretoria is looking for a proactive Administrative Assistant who can offer hands-on support with driving, logistics, and office administration. What You Will Be Doing
You will provide critical transport, logistics and administrative support to the JUST SA project and the broader Climate Cluster.
Key Responsibilities Include
Driving and Transport
- Safely transporting project staff, guests and goods - primarily within Gauteng and Mpumalanga - with flexibility for occasional overnight trips
- Managing trip logbooks and ensuring all travel is recorded and signed off
- Running official errands and supporting logistics for events and workshops
- Maintaining the cleanliness, roadworthiness, and safety of the vehicle, and ensuring timely servicing and minor repairs
Vehicle Management and Fleet Support
- Conducting routine vehicle checks (oil, tyres, water, lights, etc.) and ensuring safety compliance
- Managing vehicle documentation and monthly fuel usage tracking
- Supporting vehicle insurance claims and registration processes
- Leading SOP development and vehicle booking system management
Administrative Support
- Standing in for the administrative assistant when needed
- Relocating office furniture and keeping storerooms organised and stocked
- Assisting with procurement and logistics planning for events
Knowledge Management
- Keeping the team informed about changes in driving regulations
- Assisting seconded colleagues with vehicle registration and licensing
- Sharing traffic and route updates via the cluster’s communication channels
What You Need To SucceedMinimum Requirements
- Grade 12 / Senior Certificate (NQF Level 4)
- Valid Code 10 driver’s licence with a Professional Driving Permit (PDP)
- 1–3 years of relevant experience with solid references
- No major accidents within the past 3 years
- Good command of English
- Familiarity with Gauteng and Mpumalanga road networks
