Job description

A global leader in the production and supply of high-quality protein feed ingredients for the animal feed industry is seeking a numerically strong Accounting and Operations Administrator to oversee all administration and financial transactions related to the operations and stock of the manufacturing facility, in accordance with legislative and company policies.

POSITION INFO :

Minimum requirements for the role :

  • Must have a relevant tertiary degree
  • Minimum 5 years’ financial and administration experience in a manufacturing environment will be required
  • Working knowledge of SAP is advantageous
  • Strong numerical and analytical skills are essential
  • Must be computer literate and highly competent in Excel
  • Proficient in English (read, write, and speak)

The successful candidate will be responsible for :

  • Planning and organizing stock counts.
  • Investigating, analyzing and reporting stock losses and stock gains.
  • Overseeing and controlling stock movements.
  • Maintaining and updating the production journal.
  • Monitoring the daily fuel and diesel usage and updating the fuel / diesel register.
  • Maintaining and updating the fixed asset register.
  • Analyzing financial results with explanations (including price / volume / mix).
  • Managing the full operational function on site.
  • Submitting daily / weekly / monthly management reports to the various stakeholders.
  • Responsible for the annual budgeting process and regular forecasting.
  • Responsible for invoicing, returns and stock receipts.
  • Ensuring compliance with OHS and food safety in accordance with legislative and company policies.
  • Managing employee key performance areas, identifying training and development requirements and ensuring fair disciplinary action to address deviations.
