Job description

Administration Clerk / Medical Technician

Function: Administration Facility Inland South: Industria, Johannesburg

Introduction: An exciting full-time, permanent opportunity exists for an Administrator / Medical Technician at Life Health Solutions in Crown Mines, Johannesburg. The successful candidate will work 40 hours per week and report to the Business Manager. They will be responsible for planning, coordination, measurement, and follow-up of various occupational health outputs, ensuring effective and efficient delivery that exceeds customer expectations.

Critical Outputs
  1. Assist with reception duties by greeting visitors and directing employees and visitors appropriately.
  2. Coordinate medical surveillance and support to the Occupational Health Nurse (OHN).
  3. Manage statistical data, employee medical records, referrals (occupational diseases), and feedback systems.
  4. Conduct diagnostic medical tests such as audiometry, spirometry, and vision tests; report abnormalities to OHN.
  5. Monitor and report on medical surveillance progress and no-shows.
  6. Develop remote relationships with client site contacts.
  7. Meet prescribed professional and LHS quality standards.
  8. Manage filing and archiving systems.
  9. Maintain ISO/Quality Systems related to the role, ensuring compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018, including audits.
  10. Order stationery for the clinic and ensure stock availability.
  11. Manage equipment asset register, schedule services, and calibrate equipment.
  12. Maintain a professional organization image for Life Health Solutions.
Requirements
  1. Matric qualification.
  2. Experience and knowledge of Occupational Health.
  3. Strong administrative skills with attention to detail.
  4. Proficiency in Excel and Word.
  5. Experience in organizing, administration, and communication.
  6. Excellent telephone etiquette, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  7. Certificates in Audiometry, Spirometry, and Vision, with SASOHN registration as an Audiometrist.
  8. Ability to perform under stress, be a team player, results-oriented, hardworking, and customer-focused.
