Admin Officer-Biodiversity Management Admin

Requirements :

  • Grade 12 plus National Diploma (NQF level 6) /Bachelor’s degree(NQF level 7) in Tourism/Commerce/ Office administration/ Public Administration or relevant qualification as recognised by SAQA. 1 - 2 years relevant experience. COMPETENCES: Knowledge of Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Public Service Regulations, Public Service Act and The Constitution of the Republic of South Africa Skills: Computer skills, communication skills (verbal and written), organising and administration skills, project management skills, planning and organizing, problem solving, financial skills and service delivery innovation

Duties :

  • Provide financial related support services. Register manually and electronically all incoming and outgoing procurement files. Register all incoming and outgoing specifications. Request budget certificates for all specifications from the finance unit. Route procurement files, specifications to the relevant designated officials for recommendation a nd approval. Track procurement files on a daily to ensure that they are speedily processed. Submit approved files and specifications at procurement for issuing of purchase orders and tracking numbers respectively. Update on a weekly basis the expenditure spread sheet, accruals and commitments spreadsheet. Render administrative support to the Reserves and all the various units within Biodiversity Management Directorate. Administer and provide logistical project support services. Management of meetings and events (take minutes, ensure minutes are distributed in good time, and ensure minutes are filed). Administration duties, answer queries, distribute information, and perform other secretarial duties. Contribute to the good management of the directorate. Assist with the uniform distribution process. Implement tourism standards. Assist with implementation of key projects. Assist with booking system and tourism grading standards.
