Overview
Admin Manager position available in Newcastle.
An experienced and hands-on Admin Manager is required to join a well-established and growing bulk FMCG manufacturing operation located within the Newcastle Amajuba District Municipality, KwaZulu-Natal.
This key management role will oversee the day-to-day administration, manage the internal bookkeeping function, and supervise a small but critical support team.
You will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth financial and administrative operations, with a structured handover and training period provided.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Financial & Bookkeeping Duties
- Manage full-function bookkeeping using Pastel.
- Process creditors, debtors, journals, bank reconciliations, and month-end entries.
- Support basic payroll inputs and payment schedules.
- Maintain updated financial records and filing systems.
- Admin Oversight & Team Management
- Supervise and support a small internal admin team (including clerical and accounts staff).
- Coordinate daily office operations and ensure deadlines are met.
- Support senior management with accurate internal reporting and compliance documents.
- Liaise with external auditors, accountants, and suppliers when necessary.
- Operational & Site Support
- Ensure admin compliance aligns with manufacturing and FMCG industry procedures.
- Implement, monitor, and refine systems for increased efficiency and accuracy.
- Attend to stock-related admin, logistics records, and GRVs where needed.
Requirements
- Relevant financial qualification (e.g., Bookkeeping / Finance / Accounting).
- 3–5 years’ experience in an Admin Manager or Senior Bookkeeper role within a FMCG manufacturing or similar environment.
- Sound Pastel accounting software experience (non-negotiable).
- Strong working knowledge of journals, creditors, debtors, and reconciliation functions.
- Proven staff supervision / admin team leadership experience.
- Valid driver’s licence and own reliable vehicle (daily travel of ±20km outside Newcastle town).
- Stable work history with long-term career intentions.
