Financial degree / certificate will be an advantage.
Financial processing up to balance sheet. The client is in the process of outsourcing most of their financial processing to the company's client. This should be in place by the end of May 2025.
They are moving over from Sage Evolution to Xero accounting software.
Our client also requires a person to handle debtors debt collecting and liaison.
Handle creditors' payment authorization. The company will do all the processing; we just need to release payments. The company also does the SARS returns, but the candidate needs to monitor this.
Liaise with our IT consultants regarding computer issues. A basic knowledge of computer servers and software (Excel, Word) is required. Xero is a simple program in which we all are going to be learning soon.
Be involved with counter sales should the need arise (not often).
Our client has outsourced their industrial relations to consultants. They handle the disciplinary and CCMA cases; however, they need a person to handle the HR processes as required. There may be some administrative work with the pension fund and workmen's compensation.
The payroll is managed by the company, but they need to input processes relating to commissions, leave authorization, and new staff or termination of staff employment. Be the person communicating with the company as required, processing most of the transactions, running all the reports, and producing and submitting the statutory returns.
Produce the AFS.
Monitor and liaise with the company's client, and run debtors, creditors, and general office administration (computers).
Our client has signed up with their client for everything but debtors, so even creditors will be an oversight function.
