Old Mutual Alternative Risk Transfer Limited (OMART Life) in Johannesburg seeks an Actuarial Specialist to own the actuarial results for a dedicated cell captive portfolio, interact with stakeholders, and drive innovation in the life insurance space. The role involves IFRS valuations, regulatory solvency calculations, experience reporting, and board-ready insights.

You will work with actuaries, reinsurers, and compliance teams, applying Prophet or similar systems.

Qualifications

• Actuarial student progressing well with exams.
• 2–3 years of actuarial experience.
• Prophet and/or DCS experience beneficial.
• Strong technical and analytical abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Own the actuarial results for the allocated portfolio.
• Perform data analysis for experience investigations and regulatory submissions.
• Prepare IFRS valuations, IFRS profit calculations and insights for reports.
• Carry out regulatory solvency calculations at cell captive and life license levels.
• Produce regular and ad-hoc financial and experience reports.
