About the Division

Deloitte's actuarial team offers specialized services to the insurance and reinsurance industry across Africa. We are committed to developing actuaries and transforming the profession, with extensive experience in statutory actuarial work, SAM, audit, and due diligence solutions. We invite high-performing students to join us at our Johannesburg office for a full-day job shadowing experience. We seek grade 11 or 12 pupils with strong mathematics skills and an interest in actuarial science.

The chosen students will experience Deloitte’s corporate environment, interact with team members and leaders, and explore areas such as Life Insurance, General Insurance, Banking, Investments, and Healthcare. They will also engage in problem-solving exercises relevant to the actuarial profession.

Application Requirements:

  • A recent school report (mid-term or final)
  • A brief paragraph (max 50 words) on why you want to study actuarial science
  • A brief paragraph (max 50 words) about yourself

Applicants should be in Grade 11 or 12, with pure mathematics as a subject.

Time: 09:00 to 16:00

Dress Code: Full school uniform
