Overview

Medical Resources Group, a trusted healthcare recruitment partner, is seeking an experienced and visionary Executive: Actuarial and Data Analytics on behalf of a leading Medical Scheme located in Pretoria, Gauteng.

This senior leadership role offers a unique opportunity to establish and lead a newly formed in-house actuarial and data analytics function, driving strategic insights, risk management, and innovation within the healthcare industry.

Responsibilities
  • Establish and lead the actuarial and data analytics function.
  • Drive optimisation, efficiency, and competitive positioning across the organisation.
  • Coordinate with external actuaries for reviews, statutory reporting, and compliance.
  • Present findings to executive management and translate data insights into actionable operational recommendations.
  • Consult with stakeholders on specific needs, providing tailored actuarial solutions.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing team while fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Requirements
  • Grade 12 (Matric).
  • Qualified Actuary (completed all actuarial exams).
  • Fellowship of the Actuarial Society of South Africa (FASSA).
  • Minimum 10 years of actuarial experience, including at least 3 years in the insurance or healthcare industry with a focus on modelling and data analytics.
