Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or related field.
• Progress towards actuarial examinations (ASISA) required.
• 1-3 years life insurance experience preferred.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Proficiency in a statistical tool or language (R, Python, SAS, SQL).
• Excellent attention to detail and reporting accuracy.
• Eagerness to learn and develop within actuarial field, based in Midrand.

Responsibilities

• Assist in pricing models development and maintenance for life insurance products.
• Perform calculations for statutory and regulatory reserves.
• Conduct experience analyses (mortality, morbidity, lapse rates) to inform pricing and product development.
• Support valuation of liabilities and capital requirements.
• Develop and maintain financial models for forecasting and business planning.
• Analyze data sets to identify trends and provide insights to management.
• Collaborate with product development, underwriting, and finance on actuarial matters.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of actuarial processes and methodologies.
